Recently I have read extensively about the Omega & Dr. George Daniels. It took Dr. Daniels 20 some years to find acceptance for the co-axial movement after having had it tested by Rolex, Patek & a few other major Swiss concerns.
The cost of retooling was said to be the main factor that hampered the introduction of the Co-axial movement.
Dr. Daniels is a remarkable individual & his journey from the conception of the co-axial movement to its acceptance is a struggle of absolute perseverance worthy of a Broadway Play. Perhaps someday we will see a limited edition Omega bearing Dr. Daniels name.
